Robert Fields, Pastor
Bob Fields was called to be Pastor of Germantown Hills Baptist Church in October 2006. He had previously held the position of IL-MO ARBC State Representative since October 2002. He and his wife, Eileen, live in Metamora, IL.
Bob was born in Ft. Wayne, IN in 1947. He was saved at the age of nine through the ministry of Immanuel Baptist Church in Ft. Wayne. He graduated from Faith Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary in 1970 and 1971. Eileen was born in Chicago, IL on February 14th, 1949. She too was saved at the age of nine and later followed the Lord in believer’s baptism. Eileen attended FBBC for three years and that is where God brought Bob and Eileen together. They were married on May 31st, 1969 in Denver, CO.
Bob and Eileen have served the Lord together for 38 years. They began their ministry when Bob was asked to be part-time assistant Pastor at Bethany Baptist Church in Des Moines as he finished his education at Faith. After graduation in 1971, God led the Fields to Grace Baptist Church, Corwith, IA where they served until April of 1975. While in Corwith, God blessed them with two boys. Kenneth was born in October of 1971 and Donald in April of 1974. God moved the Fields to the Clear Lake Regular Baptist Church in Clear Lake, IA where they served from April of 1975 through December of 1977. Their third son, Daniel, was born in August of 1977. They moved to the Calvary Baptist Church, Adrian, MO in January of 1978 and served for 14 ½ years through May of 1992. It was at this time that God changed their ministry as He led them to the position of Camp Director of the Iowa Regular Baptist Camp, Ventura, IA from May of 1992 through November of 1995. For the next 7 ½ years they served at Hagerman Baptist Church, Waterloo, IA. They have usually been a team ministry as Eileen has served as Bob’s secretary since 1980.
Bob and Eileen’s three sons are all currently serving the Lord in local church ministry. Kenneth & Joanna are serving at Delhi Baptist Church, Jerseyville, IL. They have five children, Elizabeth, Noah, Hannah, Mary and Amy. Donald and Traci serve at Calvary Baptist Church, Owosso, MI and have one son, Tylar. Daniel & Rebecca, Kelsey, Brianna, Ryan and Hudson serve at First Baptist Church, Creston, IA.
Bob and Eileen’s lives, marriage, family and ministries have been filled with the grace and goodness of God. They continue to praise the Lord for I Timothy 1:12, “And I thank Christ Jesus, our Lord, who hath enabled me (us), in that he counted me (us) faithful, putting me (us) into the ministry.”
